20:17And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside privately, and on the way He said to them, Compare
20:18Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes. And they will condemn Him to death, Compare
20:19And deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised. Compare
20:20Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Him with her sons, worshipping and asking something of Him. Compare
20:21And He said to her, What do you want? She said to Him, Say that these two sons of mine will sit, one on Your right and one on Your left, in Your kingdom. Compare
20:22But Jesus answered and said to them, You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink? They said to Him, We are able. Compare
20:23He said to them, My cup you shall indeed drink, but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father. Compare
20:24And when the ten heard this, they were indignant concerning the two brothers. Compare
20:25But Jesus called them to Him and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and the great exercise authority over them. Compare
20:26It shall not be so among you; but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant, Compare
20:27And whoever wants to be first among you shall be your slave; Compare
20:28Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. Compare
20:29And as they were going out from Jericho, a great crowd followed Him. Compare
20:30And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David! Compare
20:31And the crowd rebuked them so that they would be silent, but they cried out the more, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David! Compare
20:32And Jesus, standing still, called them and said, What do you want Me to do for you? Compare
20:33They said to Him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. Compare
20:34And Jesus, moved with compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately they received their sight and followed Him. Compare
21:1And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, Compare
21:2Saying to them, Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied and a colt with her; untie them and lead them to Me. Compare
21:3And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them; and immediately he will send them. Compare
21:4Now this took place in order that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, Compare
21:5Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King is coming to you, meek and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, a foal of a beast of burden. Compare
21:6And the disciples went and did as Jesus directed them, Compare
21:7And led the donkey and the colt. And they put their garments on them, and He sat upon them. Compare
21:8And most of the crowd spread their own garments in the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them in the road. Compare
21:9And the crowds who went before Him and those who followed cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! Compare
21:10And when He entered into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, Who is this? Compare
21:11And the crowds said, This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee. Compare
