9:1And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
Compare
-
9:2And the fear of you and the terror of you shall be upon every animal of the earth and upon every bird of heaven, on everything that creeps on the ground and on all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are delivered.
Compare
-
9:3Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; just as I gave you the green herb, so I have given you everything.
Compare
-
9:4But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
Compare
-
9:5And indeed your lifeblood I will require; from every animal I will require it. And from every man, from every man's brother, I will require the life of man.
Compare
-
9:6Whoever sheds man's blood, / By man shall his blood be shed, / For in the image of God / He made man.
Compare
-
9:7And you, be fruitful and multiply; / Abound on the earth and multiply in it.
Compare
-
9:8Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
Compare
-
9:9And I Myself now establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you
Compare
-
9:10And with every living animal that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that came out of the ark, every animal of the earth.
Compare
-
9:11And I establish My covenant with you, that never again will all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
Compare
-
9:12And God said, This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living animal that is with you, for perpetual generations:
Compare
-
9:13I set My bow in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.
Compare
-
9:14And when I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow is seen in the clouds,
Compare
-
9:15I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living animal of all flesh, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Compare
-
9:16And the bow will be in the clouds, and I will look upon it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living animal of all flesh that is upon the earth.
Compare
-
9:17And God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
Compare
-
9:18Now the sons of Noah who came forth from the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.
Compare
-
9:19These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was spread over.
Compare
-
9:20And Noah began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard.
Compare
-
9:21And he drank of the wine and became drunk. And he uncovered himself inside his tent.
Compare
-
9:22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.
Compare
-
9:23And Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both their shoulders, and they walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were turned backward, so that they did not see their father's nakedness.
Compare
-
9:24And Noah awoke from his wine and learned what his youngest son had done to him.
Compare
-
9:25And he said, Cursed be Canaan: / A servant of servants / Shall he be to his brothers.
Compare
-
9:26And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, / The God of Shem; / And let Canaan be his servant.
Compare
-
9:27May God enlarge Japheth, / And let him dwell in the tents of Shem, / And let Canaan be his servant.
Compare
-
9:28And Noah lived after the flood three hundred fifty years.
Compare
-
9:29And all the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, and he died.
Compare
-
10:1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, of Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood.
Compare

10:2The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.

Compare

10:6And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
Compare
-
10:7And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
Compare
-
10:8And Cush begot Nimrod: He began to be a mighty one on the earth.
Compare
-
10:9He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Jehovah.
Compare
-
10:10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Compare
-
10:11From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh and Rehoboth-ir and Calah
Compare
-
10:12And Resen between Nineveh and Calah, that is, the great city.
Compare
-
10:13And Mizraim begot the Ludim and the Anamim and the Lehabim and the Naphtuhim
Compare
-
10:14And the Pathrusim and the Casluhim, from which came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
Compare
-
10:15And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn and Heth
Compare

10:16And the Jebusites and the Amorites and the Girgashites
Compare
-
10:17And the Hivites and the Arkites and the Sinites
Compare

10:18And the Arvadites and the Zemarites and the Hamathites, and afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread out.
Compare
-
10:19And the territory of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza, and as you go toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
Compare
-
10:20These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
Compare
-
10:21And also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the eldest brother of Japheth, children were born.
Compare
-
10:22The sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
Compare
-
10:23And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
Compare
-
10:24And Arpachshad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
Compare
-
10:25And to Eber were born two sons: The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
Compare
-
10:26And Joktan begot Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
Compare

10:27And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah
Compare

10:30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east.
Compare
-
10:31These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations.
Compare
-
10:32These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.
Compare
-
11:1And the whole earth had one language and the same speech.
Compare
-
11:2And as they journeyed east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
Compare
-
11:3And they said to one another, Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and they had tar for mortar.
Compare
-
11:4And they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens; and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over the surface of the whole earth.
Compare
-
11:5And Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men had built.
Compare
-
11:6And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and now nothing which they purpose to do will be kept from them.
Compare
-
11:7Come, let Us go down and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
Compare
-
11:8So Jehovah scattered them from there over the surface of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
Compare
-
11:9Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Jehovah confounded the language of all the earth, and from there Jehovah scattered them over the surface of all the earth.
