1:1Then Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, Compare
1:2Take the sum of all the assembly of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, every male, head by head. Compare
1:3From twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go forth for military service in Israel, you and Aaron shall number them by their companies. Compare
1:4And with you there shall be a man from every tribe, each man the head of his fathers' household. Compare
1:5And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you. From Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur. Compare
1:6From Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. Compare
1:7From Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab. Compare
1:8From Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar. Compare
1:9From Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon. Compare
1:10From the children of Joseph: from Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; from Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. Compare
1:11From Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni. Compare
1:12From Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. Compare
1:13From Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran. Compare
1:14From Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel. Compare
1:15From Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan. Compare
1:16These are the ones who were called from the assembly, the leaders of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel. Compare
1:17And Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name. Compare
1:18And on the first day of the second month they gathered all the assembly together; and they registered themselves by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names from twenty years old and upward, head by head. Compare
1:19As Jehovah commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai. Compare
1:20And the children of Reuben, Israel's firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:21Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben: forty-six thousand five hundred. Compare
1:22From the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, those who were numbered of them, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:23Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon: fifty-nine thousand three hundred. Compare

1:25Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad: forty-five thousand six hundred fifty. Compare

1:29Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar: fifty-four thousand four hundred. Compare
1:30From the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare

1:34And from the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:35Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh: thirty-two thousand two hundred. Compare
1:36From the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:37Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin: thirty-five thousand four hundred. Compare
1:38From the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:39Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan: sixty-two thousand seven hundred. Compare
1:40From the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:41Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher: forty-one thousand five hundred. Compare
1:42From the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service, Compare
1:43Those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali: fifty-three thousand four hundred. Compare
1:44These were the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each one for his fathers' household. Compare
1:45So all who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers' households, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth for military service in Israel, Compare
1:46Even all the numbered men were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty. Compare
1:47But the Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers' tribe. Compare
1:48For Jehovah had spoken to Moses, saying, Compare
1:49Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor shall you take the sum of them among the children of Israel; Compare
1:50But you, appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony and over all its furnishings and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall minister to it and shall encamp around the tabernacle. Compare
1:51And when the tabernacle sets out, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encamps, the Levites shall set it up. But the stranger who comes near shall be put to death. Compare
1:52And the children of Israel shall encamp, each one by his own camp and each one by his own standard, according to their companies. Compare
1:53But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there be no wrath upon the assembly of the children of Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Compare
1:54Thus did the children of Israel do; according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses, so they did. Compare
2:1Then Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, Compare
2:2The children of Israel shall encamp each by his own standard with the ensigns of their fathers' households; they shall encamp facing the Tent of Meeting on every side. Compare
2:3And those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their companies; and the leader of the children of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab; Compare
2:4And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: seventy-four thousand six hundred. Compare
2:5And those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar; and the leader of the children of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar; Compare
2:6And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: fifty-four thousand four hundred. Compare
2:7Then the tribe of Zebulun; and the leader of the children of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon; Compare
2:8And his company, that is, his numbered men: fifty-seven thousand four hundred. Compare
2:9All who were numbered of the camp of Judah: one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their companies. They shall set out first. Compare
2:10On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their companies; and the leader of the children of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur; Compare
2:11And his company, that is, his numbered men: forty-six thousand five hundred. Compare
2:12And those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon; and the leader of the children of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai; Compare
2:13And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: fifty-nine thousand three hundred. Compare
2:14Then the tribe of Gad; and the leader of the children of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Reuel; Compare
2:15And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: forty-five thousand six hundred fifty. Compare
2:16All who were numbered of the camp of Reuben: one hundred fifty-one thousand four hundred fifty, according to their companies. And they shall set out second. Compare
2:17Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps; as they encamp, so shall they set out, every man in his place, by their standards. Compare
2:18On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their companies; and the leader of the children of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; Compare
2:19And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: forty thousand five hundred. Compare
2:20And next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh; and the leader of the children of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur; Compare
2:21And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: thirty-two thousand two hundred. Compare
2:22Then the tribe of Benjamin; and the leader of the children of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni; Compare
2:23And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: thirty-five thousand four hundred. Compare
2:24All who were numbered of the camp of Ephraim: one hundred eight thousand one hundred, according to their companies. And they shall set out third. Compare
2:25On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their companies; and the leader of the children of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai; Compare
2:26And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: sixty-two thousand seven hundred. Compare
2:27And those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher; and the leader of the children of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran; Compare
2:28And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: forty-one thousand five hundred. Compare
2:29Then the tribe of Naphtali; and the leader of the children of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan; Compare
2:30And his company, that is, those who were numbered of them: fifty-three thousand four hundred. Compare
2:31All who were numbered of the camp of Dan: one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set out last by their standards. Compare
2:32These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers' households. All who were numbered in the camps according to their companies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty. Compare
2:33But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel, as Jehovah had commanded Moses. Compare
2:34Thus did the children of Israel do. According to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards and so they set out, every one by their families, according to their fathers' households. Compare
