14:1The wise woman builds her house, / But the foolish one tears it down with her own hands. Compare
14:2He who walks in his uprightness fears Jehovah, / But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him. Compare
14:3In the mouth of a fool is a rod for his pride, / But the lips of the wise will preserve them. Compare
14:4Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, / But much increase comes by the strength of the ox. Compare
14:5A faithful witness will not lie, / But a false witness utters lies. Compare
14:6A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, / But knowledge comes easily to one who has understanding. Compare
14:7Go from the presence of a foolish man, / For you will not perceive in him the lips of knowledge. Compare
14:8The wisdom of the prudent man is to understand his way, / But the folly of fools is deceit. Compare
14:9A trespass offering mocks fools, / But among the upright there is good will. Compare
14:10The heart knows its own bitterness, / And a stranger does not share in its joy. Compare
14:11The house of the wicked will be destroyed, / But the tent of the upright will flourish. Compare
14:12There is a way which seems right to a man, / But the end of it is the ways of death. Compare

14:17He who is quick to anger will deal foolishly, / And a man of wicked devices is hated. Compare
14:18The simple inherit folly, / But the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Compare
14:19The evil bow down before the good, / And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous man. Compare
14:20The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, / But the rich man has many friends. Compare
14:21He who despises his neighbor sins, / But happy is he who is gracious to the poor. Compare
14:22Do not they who devise evil go astray? / But lovingkindness and truth are with those who devise good. Compare
14:23In all labor there is profit, / But mere talk leads only to poverty. Compare
14:24The crown of the wise is their riches, / But the folly of fools is only folly. Compare
14:25A truthful witness delivers souls, / But he who utters lies causes deceit. Compare
14:26In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, / And his children will have a place of refuge. Compare
14:27The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, / That one may turn aside from the snares of death. Compare
14:28In a multitude of people is the king's glory, / But in an absence of people is the ruin of the prince. Compare
14:29He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, / But he who has a hasty spirit exalts folly. Compare
14:30A tranquil heart is life to the flesh, / But envy is rottenness to the bones. Compare
14:31He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, / But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him. Compare
14:32The wicked man is thrust down in his evildoing, / But the righteous man has a refuge when he dies. Compare
14:33Wisdom rests quietly in the heart of one who has understanding, / But in the inward part of fools it makes itself known. Compare
14:34Righteousness exalts a nation, / But sin is a reproach to any people. Compare
14:35The king's favor is toward a servant who acts prudently, / But his overflowing wrath will be toward him who causes shame. Compare
15:1A soft answer turns away anger, / But a grievous word stirs up anger. Compare
15:2The tongue of the wise utters knowledge well, / But the mouth of fools pours out folly. Compare
15:3The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, / Keeping watch on the evil and the good. Compare
15:4A soothing tongue is a tree of life, / But perverseness in it is a breaking of the spirit. Compare
15:5A fool despises his father's correction, / But he who regards reproof gets prudence. Compare
15:6In the house of the righteous man there is much treasure, / But in the income of the wicked there is trouble. Compare
15:7The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, / But the heart of fools does not do so. Compare
15:8The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, / But the prayer of the upright is His delight. Compare
15:9The way of the wicked man is an abomination to Jehovah, / But He loves one who pursues righteousness. Compare
15:10There is grievous correction for one who forsakes the way, / And he who hates reproof will die. Compare
15:11Sheol and Abaddon lie open before Jehovah. / How much more the hearts of the children of men! Compare
15:12A scorner does not love him who reproves him; / He will not go to the wise. Compare
15:13A joyful heart makes a cheerful countenance, / But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken. Compare
15:14The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, / But the mouth of fools feeds on folly. Compare
15:15All the days of the afflicted are evil, / But he who is of a cheerful heart has a continual feast. Compare
15:16Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah / Than great treasure and turmoil with it. Compare
15:17Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is / Than a fattened ox and hatred with it. Compare
15:18A wrathful man stirs up contention, / But he who is slow to anger quiets strife. Compare
15:19The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, / But the path of the upright is paved. Compare
15:20A wise son makes a father glad, / But a foolish man despises his mother. Compare
15:21Folly is joy to him who lacks sense, / But a man of understanding makes straight his going. Compare
15:22Where there is no counsel, plans are frustrated; / But in the multitude of counselors they are established. Compare
15:23A man has joy in the apt answer of his mouth; / And a word in its season, how good it is! Compare
15:24To the wise man the way of life leads upward, / That he may depart from Sheol below. Compare
15:25Jehovah will tear down the house of the proud, / But He will establish the territory of the widow. Compare
15:26Evil plans are an abomination to Jehovah, / But pleasant words are pure. Compare
15:27He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, / But he who hates bribes will live. Compare
15:28The heart of the righteous man ponders how to answer, / But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things. Compare
15:29Jehovah is far from the wicked, / But He hears the prayer of the righteous. Compare
15:30The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, / And good news makes the bones fat. Compare
15:31The ear that listens to the reproof of life / Will lodge among the wise. Compare
15:32He who ignores instruction despises his own soul, / But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding. Compare
15:33The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom, / And humility goes before honor. Compare
