Psalms 69 ~ 72

69:1Save me, O God; for the waters / Threaten my life. Compare
69:2I sink in deep mire, / And there is no place to stand; / I have come to the depths of water, / And the flood flows over me. Compare
69:3I am weary of my crying; / My throat is parched; / My eyes fail / While I wait for my God. Compare
69:4More numerous than the hairs of my head / Are those who hate me without cause; / Mighty are those who would destroy me, / Those who are wrongly my enemies. / What I did not steal, / I must then restore. Compare
69:5O God, You know my foolishness, / And my sins of guilt are not hidden from You. Compare
69:6Do not let those who wait on You be put to shame because of me, / O Lord Jehovah of hosts; / Do not let those who seek You be humiliated because of me, / O God of Israel. Compare
69:7Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; / Humiliation has covered my face. Compare
69:8I have become a stranger to my brothers, / And a foreigner to my mother's children. Compare
69:9For the zeal of Your house has devoured me, / And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me. Compare
69:10When I wept, when my soul was in fasting, / That became a reproach to me. Compare
69:11When I made sackcloth my clothing, / I became a proverb to them. Compare
69:12Those who sit in the gate talk about me, / And I am the mocking song of those who drink liquor. Compare
69:13But as for me, my prayer is to You, / O Jehovah, in an acceptable time; / O God, in the abundance of Your lovingkindness answer me, / In the faithfulness of Your salvation. Compare
69:14Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; / May I be delivered from those who hate me, / And out of the depths of water. Compare
69:15Do not let the flood of water flow over me, / Nor let the deep swallow me, / Nor let the pit close its mouth over me. Compare
69:16Answer me, O Jehovah; for Your lovingkindness is good; / According to the abundance of Your compassions turn to me. Compare
69:17And do not hide Your face from Your servant, / For I am in distress; hurry and answer me. Compare
69:18Draw near to my soul; redeem it; / Ransom me because of my enemies. Compare
69:19You know my reproach / And my shame and my humiliation; / All my adversaries are before You. Compare
69:20Reproach has broken my heart, / And I am sick; / I looked for pity, but there was none; / And for comforters, but I found none. Compare
69:21But they gave me gall for my food, / And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Compare
69:22May their table become a snare before them / And a trap when they are at peace. Compare
69:23May their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see; / And make their loins shake continually. Compare
69:24Pour out Your indignation upon them; / And may the burning fierceness of Your anger overtake them. Compare
69:25May their camp be desolate; / May there be no one to dwell in their tents. Compare
69:26For they persecute him whom You have stricken, / And they recount the pain of those whom You have wounded. Compare
69:27Add iniquity to their iniquity, / And do not let them come into Your righteousness. Compare
69:28May they be blotted out of the book of life, / And may they not be written with the righteous. Compare
69:29But I am poor and pained; / May Your salvation, O God, set me on high. Compare
69:30I will praise the name of God with a song / And will magnify Him with thanksgiving; Compare
69:31And it will be better to Jehovah than an ox / Or a bull with horns and hooves. Compare
69:32The meek have seen it; they rejoice. / You who seek God, let your heart revive. Compare
69:33For Jehovah listens to the needy, / And He does not despise His prisoners. Compare
69:34Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, / The seas and everything that moves in them. Compare
69:35For God will save Zion / And build the cities of Judah; / And they will abide there and possess it. Compare
69:36And the seed of His servants will inherit it, / And those who love His name will dwell in it. Compare

70:1O God, hasten to deliver me; / O Jehovah, hasten to help me. Compare
70:2May those who seek my life / Be put to shame and confounded; / May those who take delight in my misfortune / Be turned back and humiliated; Compare
70:3May those who say, Aha! Aha! / Turn away because of their shame; Compare
70:4May all those who seek You / Be glad and rejoice in You; / And may those who love Your salvation / Say continually, / May God be magnified! Compare
70:5But I am poor and needy; / O God, hasten to me. / You are my help and my Deliverer; / O Jehovah, do not delay. Compare
71:1In You, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; / Never let me be put to shame. Compare
71:2In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; / Incline Your ear to me and save me. Compare
71:3Be to me a rock of habitation for me to come to continually. / You have given command to save me, / For You are my rock and my fortress. Compare
71:4My God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked, / From the hand of the unjust and cruel; Compare
71:5For You are my hope, O Lord Jehovah, / My trust from my youth. Compare
71:6On You I have been sustained since birth; / It was You who took me from my mother's womb; / My praise is continually of You. Compare
71:7I am like a wonder to many, / But You are my strong refuge. Compare
71:8My mouth is filled with Your praise, / With Your glory, all day long. Compare
71:9Do not cast me off in the time of old age; / When my strength fails, do not forsake me. Compare
71:10For my enemies speak concerning me, / And those who watch for my soul take counsel together, Compare
71:11Saying, God has forsaken him; / Pursue and lay hold of him, for there is no one to deliver him. Compare
71:12O God, do not be far away from me; / My God, hasten to help me. Compare
71:13May those who are the adversaries to my soul / Be put to shame and consumed; / May those who seek my misfortune / Wrap themselves in reproach and humiliation. Compare
71:14But I will hope continually / And will add yet more to all Your praise. Compare
71:15My mouth will recount Your righteousness, / Your salvation, all day long; / For I do not know its full numbers. Compare
71:16I will come with the proof of the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah; / I will remind men of Your righteousness, Yours alone. Compare
71:17O God, You have taught me from my youth; / And until now I have declared Your wondrous deeds. Compare
71:18So even into my old age and grayheadedness, / O God, do not forsake me, / Until I have declared Your strength / Unto the next generation, / Your might unto everyone who is to come. Compare
71:19And Your righteousness, O God, is so high, / You who have done great things. / O God, who is like You? Compare
71:20You who have shown me / Many great troubles / Will revive me again / And bring me up again / From the depths of the earth. Compare
71:21You will increase my greatness / And will turn and comfort me. Compare
71:22I will also praise You with the harp, / I will praise Your faithfulness, my God; / I will sing psalms to You with the lyre, / O Holy One of Israel. Compare
71:23My lips will give a ringing shout / When I sing psalms to You, / And my soul, which You have redeemed. Compare
71:24My tongue also will declare / Your righteousness all day long; / For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, / They who seek my misfortune. Compare

72:1O God, give Your judgments to the king, / And Your righteousness to the son of the king. Compare
72:2He will judge Your people in righteousness, / And Your poor with justice. Compare
72:3The mountains will bear peace to the people, / And the hills, in righteousness. Compare
72:4He will judge the poor of the people; / He will save the children of the needy / And crush the oppressor. Compare
72:5They will fear You as long as the sun endures / And as long as the moon endures / Throughout the generations. Compare
72:6He will drop like rain upon mown grass, / Like abundant showers dripping on the earth. Compare
72:7In His days the righteous will flourish, / And there will be an abundance of peace / Until the moon is no more. Compare
72:8And He will have dominion from sea to sea / And from the River unto the ends of the earth. Compare
72:9The desert dwellers will bow down before Him, / And His enemies will lick the dust. Compare
72:10The kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands / Will pay tribute; / The kings of Sheba and Seba / Will present gifts. Compare
72:11And all the kings will bow down before Him; / All the nations will serve Him. Compare
72:12For He will deliver the needy man when he cries, / And the poor man who has no one to help him. Compare
72:13He will have pity on the weak and needy, / And the souls of the needy He will save. Compare
72:14From oppression and violence / He will redeem their soul, / And their blood will be precious in His sight. Compare
72:15So He shall live and to Him shall be given / The gold of Sheba; / And prayer shall be made continually for Him; / He shall be blessed all the day long. Compare
72:16There will be an abundance of grain on the earth, / Even at the tops of the mountains. / Its fruit will wave like the forests of Lebanon, / And those of the city will blossom like the foliage of the earth. Compare
72:17His name will be forever; / As long as the sun endures, His name will spread; / And men will be blessed in Him; / All the nations will call Him blessed. Compare
72:18Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, / Who alone does wondrous deeds; Compare
